Heat asks for your location, while the app is in use, for one purpose: to read the current temperature and dew point where you are. That request goes to Apple's WeatherKit service — Heat itself never receives, stores, or transmits your location anywhere. Nothing is logged, and nothing is sent to the developer.
Your goal pace, your preferred distance unit (miles or kilometers), and whether you're training easy/long or doing intervals are saved locally on your phone, using the standard iOS mechanism apps use for preferences. None of it is personal or identifying, and none of it ever leaves your device.
Heat has no login, no user accounts, and no backend of its own. There is nothing for the developer to collect, because there is nowhere for your data to go.
Heat contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.
Current conditions are provided by Apple Weather via WeatherKit. That request is handled directly between your device and Apple. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles it on their end.
Heat isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age — there's simply no data collection to speak of.
If this policy changes as the app does, the update will appear on this same page.
