Trig

Privacy Policy

Effective 9 September 2026  ·  Version 1.0

The short version

01 Who we are

Trig — listed on the App Store as Trig Point — is an iPhone training-plan app published by Hoosier Goose Co. This policy explains what the app does with information on your device. It applies to Trig and to nothing else.

02 What Trig stores, and where

Trig keeps everything in a single file inside the app's own storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS. There is no Trig account, no login, no cloud sync, and no server we operate. We cannot see your data, because it never reaches us.

InformationWhy Trig has itWhere it goes
What you type Your race, goal, availability, and how sessions felt — this is what the plan is built from. Stays on your iPhone.
Apple Health Past runs and their heart rate and calories; sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and steps; height, weight, biological sex, and date of birth. Stays on your iPhone.
Calendar To notice when something clashes with a planned session and suggest moving it. Stays on your iPhone.
Location To look up the temperature and dew point where you run. Sent to Apple's weather service. See section 4.

03 Apple Health and Calendar

Trig asks for these separately, and only when you first use a feature that needs them. You can decline, or turn either off later in the iOS Settings app, and Trig will keep working — it will simply ask you for the things it can no longer read.

04 Location and weather

Heat changes what a session should cost you, so Trig reads the temperature and dew point where you are. To do that it passes your approximate location to Apple WeatherKit, Apple's own weather service.

This is the only information that leaves your iPhone. Trig does not store your location, does not attach it to you or to anything else in the app, and does not use it to track you. Apple's handling of that request is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

If you decline location access, Trig still builds and adapts your plan. You lose the heat guidance, not the app.

05 What Trig does not do

06 Deleting your data

Delete the Trig app and everything it held goes with it. Because nothing was ever copied off your device, there is no second copy anywhere to request, export, or erase.

Your Apple Health and Calendar data belong to those apps and are unaffected — Trig only ever read them.

07 Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete personal information a company holds about you. Hoosier Goose Co. holds none. Your information is on your own device, in your own hands, and deleting the app exercises all of those rights at once.

08 Children

Trig is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since Trig collects nothing to begin with, there is nothing held about a child of any age.

09 Changes to this policy

If Trig ever changes what it does with your information, this page changes first, and the effective date at the top moves with it. A change that would send your data somewhere new would be described here plainly, before it shipped.
